Welcome
Welcome from the Co-Headteachers
At St John’s Catholic Primary School, we pride ourselves on our vibrant and successful learning environment, at the heart of its community and parish in Gravesend.
St John’s Catholic Primary School is a large 4 form entry Catholic Primary school situated in Gravesend in North-West Kent. We pride ourselves on being a warm and welcoming community, full of safe and happy children, where the love of God is shared and our mission statement is lived out every day.
Our strong Catholic ethos permeates all that we do; it underpins our efforts to encourage and inspire all our children to flourish; it fuels our high standards and expectations; and it drives our commitment to be of service to our local parish and community.
It is our aim to provide every child with the highest quality education and the opportunity to discover and nurture their individual talents- inspiring every child to grow in their faith and love of God. Our rich and wide curriculum allows every child the opportunity to be adventurous, inquisitive and reflective at every stage of their journey with us. We believe that at St John’s, we develop every aspect of the child: socially, morally, physically, emotionally, academically and spiritually by ensuring that each learning journey is filled with opportunities to learn, grow and broaden horizons beyond the classroom.
At St John’s, we believe in the vital importance of parent partnership and that strong home/school relationships are invaluable to children’s wellbeing and development. We are passionate about involving parents in their child’s education and in the life of the school, and work hard to support families to ensure the very best outcomes for our children.
Every child’s success at St John’s is celebrated; and our school community, supported by a committed governing body and team of dedicated staff, contribute to this. We feel immensely proud to be Co-Headteachers at St John’s, and warmly invite you to visit us and experience life at our wonderful School.
