Stay and Sound - February 2025
At the end of Term 3 we invited Parents and Carers into school for a Little Wandle Phonics workshop with Mrs Slight. After a workshop in the hall, we held a Stay and Sound session in the Reception classes. The children were able to work alongside their Parents and Carers to discover fun ways to explore phonics and early reading. The children explored segmenting and blending activities, built words using phoneme cards, played phoneme splat, searched for tricky words and painted CVC words using cotton buds. We hope that Parents and Carers enjoyed learning lots of different ways to make phonics and reading fun at home!
