Welcome to our homework page. All weekly homework will be set via this page in year 3. There will be no homework books or sheets given in school so please check this page at least once a week.
Week beginning Monday 15th May
This term PE will be every Thursday and may be outside depending on the weather.
Our new Geography topic for the term is based on South America and Brazil. This week we will be looking at world maps to locate South America, Brazil and the equator. The children will learn that Brazil is the largest country in South America and about the Amazon Rain Forest.
During Science the children will learn about the bones and skeleton in the human body. The children will be gathering data from an investigation and recording their results in tables and charts.
During Maths, our new topic is time. The children will be telling the time to the nearest five minutes and learning about am and pm times. We will also be continuing be learn our times tables.
For French the children will be learning the names of different musical instruments.
During our English lessons will be completing reading comprehensions and starting our new class book about the rainforest.
Reading
Please ensure your child is reading regularly at home. Please sign your child's reading record book at least once a week so your child can quiz on their reading books and receive new books.

This week's focus is words with the ch diagraph, please complete the activity. For extra practice, your child could neatly write sentences using inverted commas and check the meaning of some of the words in a dictionary.

Please continue to explore the site and have a go at some of the games available. The children have started to access the site in school and are enjoying the games.
Please read the letters sent home containing your child's record of progress on this web site, giving details of their home learning so far. Another report will be sent home later in the year so you can monitor your child's progress.
This week please complete the activity on adding and subtracting mass following on from our topic on measure before Easter.
