  • New Website Launched!

    Welcome to our brand new school website! We have created the website to keep parents up to date with school news and notices, and to showcase some of the great things our pupils are achieving. The website is extremely easy to edit by all staff at the school, so check back soon for new updates!

  • Eco club success!

    We are very proud to share the fabulous news that our Eco - club has now achieved the Silver award from the Woodland Trust's Green Tree  Schools awards for all their hard work and consideration to the environment.  Well done eco-club!

  • End of year Mass

    Bright and early this morning, before the sun got too hot, we celebrated our end of year whole school Mass. It was wonderful to see the whole school family out together celebrating and giving thanks for the fantastic year we have had together. #stjohnsway #catholiclife

  • Recycling

    Last week, our School Council and Eco-Warriors were very excited to welcome Mr Simmons from Gravesham Borough Council and Mrs Mills, a parent and local street champion to talk to them about recycling. Mr Simmons explained what happens to our recycling and why it is important to recycle as much as possible. They thought about how they could be Stewards of the Earth by looking after our local environment. They were very grateful to receive some new litter pickers and hoops from Mr Simmons and they can’t wait to put them to good use!

  • Night Owls visit

    We had a visit this week from Night Owls, who brought along some special guests. 5 beautiful owls!! The children were able to meet each one and learned lots of facts, before seeing them fly. Whisper, the barn owl, was a little bit cheeky and didn't want to come back down!

  • St John's support Ukraine

    On Wednesday 2nd, our school put out an urgent appeal, to our school family, to help the refugees from Ukrainian war crisis. We came together and donated many items including nappies, baby clothes, baby food and toiletries. As a school we were amazed at everyone's generosity. We filled two minibuses and three cars will our donations. A MASSIVE thank you to everyone who supported us.    

  • Number Day 2022!

    On Friday 4th February, we took part in NSPCC Number Day. As well as learning how the NSPCC works to support children, we all had a fun-filled day exploring numbers in a variety of ways including: investigating “Fibonacci” spirals, playing number-related PE games, challenging each other in “Who Wants to be a Mathionaire” and many more! We have raised a fantastic amount of £657.50 (with payments still being made), which will go towards helping many young people around the UK. It was great to see so many creative costumes around the school.

  • Over £750 pounds raised for Winston's Wish charity!

    On Friday 22nd October we held a 'Wear your Wellies' day in aid of the charity Winston's Wish. This charity raise money for children who are suffering from bereavement. We would like to say a MASSIVE thank you for all your donations! As a school we raised £763 pounds. 

    During the day the children also took part in various activities linked to the theme of wellies. Take a look below to see what they got up to! 

  • Parent Tour Dates!

    Is your child due to start school in September 2022? Join us on one of our school tours to see why St John's is a GOOD school. The tours will take place at 8am on Wednesday 17th/24th November and 1st/8th/15th December. Please call or email our school office to book your place. Places will be limited due to our current COVID risk assessment. Do not forget to also take a look at our virtual tour!
