Jubilee-Pilgrims of Hope 2025
Pope Francis has called the global Church to celebrate the Jubilee together, with deep faith, lively hope, and active charity. Our scripture for Launch Day is from Luke 4, where Jesus makes it clear that his mission is to bring the justice and freedom of the Jubilee. Inspired by his example, we can share in his mission to create a world of justice, peace and love. In this very special year, we are all invited to journey together as pilgrims of hope, putting faith into action to build a better world for everyone.
Our Pilgrim of Hope journey so far...
The children performed the Jubilee song for the Archbishop John Wilson and the Parish community.
All of our children are participating in the Big Lent Walk to help fight poverty across the world. Each class will split the challenge of walking 200km between each child across the whole of Lent. This will be our Lenten fundraiser, an important part of our school's ethos and catholic values.
The children have explored the Pilgrims of Hope logo and what it means to all of us.
The logo represents all of humanity, they come from all four corners of the earth. Their embrace signifies unity and love in Christ. The colours represent different aspects of the human experience - love and self sacrifice; joy, vitality and enthusiasm; hope, growth faith and peace.
Every school has a Pilgrim of Hope Candle. We light our candle during Celebration of the Word.
