Children will NOT be in school. You to come with your child to meet the class teacher. During this meeting, you will be able to find out more about Reception and have the time to tell us more about your child. We will also be able to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Monday 5th September

On this date we expect the majority of Reception children to start full time hours – 8.45am -3.15pm.  The wellbeing, happiness and safety of every child is of utmost importance to us and, therefore, there may be children who need a more gradual transition to enable them to adapt to their new learning environment and to settle effectively into school routines. These children are likely to have been identified during discussions with their nursery or pre-school settings and/or information provided by parents.

Each case is considered on an individual basis and adaptations to admissions procedures, such as a reduced or more flexible timetable, may be necessary due to special educational needs, anxiety, medical needs etc. If we feel that your child may benefit from a more gradual transition into school or will require adaptations to the core curriculum offer, we will invite you into a meeting with myself, your child’s teacher and our SENCo during the week commencing 18th July 2022
