Testing electrics!

This term Year 6 have been learning about the science behind electricity. Pupils have started the topic by considering series and parallel circuits: discussing the difference between a current and the voltage; predicting and testing the differences seen when altering the voltage. The children tested their ideas; comparing the light emitted from a bulb. Further investigations will extend their knowledge and understanding of using a switch in a circuit as well as including other components such as a motor or a buzzer. We are looking forward to many 'enlightening' moments!
