Studying the Revolution

Year 6 have dived in to their new Victorian topic - The Revolution. Classes have begun to study the changes in society linked to the rise of the industrial revolution; looking at how the lives of children (both rich and poor) were affected by the monarchy's rule.

On Wednesday, pupils and staff embarked on their our memorable event. The children 'visited' a Victorian school where they attended a morning class, trying on traditional Victorian clothing, playing Victorian games, using old equipment and taking into consideration daily routines that pupils in the Victorian times would have experienced, such as inspections and drills.
