Stone Age Workshops

Year 3 have been learning about the Stone Age period in their history topic 'Tribal Tales'.

As part of their topic, pupils visited Kent Life for a series of Stone Age workshops. Throughout the day, the children participated in the following sessions:

Meeting a tribe Member, Cave Painting, Beliefs, Trading in the stone Age, Weapons, From hunters to Farmers and Grinding grain.

Year 3 children enjoyed the workshops and they especially loved grinding their own wheat into flour, sketching cave paintings and meeting Claw (Stone Age man) and participating in role-play throughout the day.

They had to apply their repertoire of historical knowledge, understanding and creative skills in order to learn new information.
