Specialist Teaching

As part of our sports partnership with PRIDE, Year 4 pupils were lucky to benefit from a PE lesson led by specialist PRIDE Coaches, using Speed Stacking equipment.

Each class took part in various exercises; including hopping and star jumps, before stacking their cups in formations directed by the coaches. In the last challenge, pupils were tasked with building a group tower, but we hadn’t anticipated how difficult this would be as they kept falling down!

It was great to see pupils enthused throughout the lesson, whilst developing their team work skills and applying both gross and fine motor skills. Later this year, a few lucky pupils will be chosen to represent the school in a Speed Stacking competition – it won’t be easy to choose only a few after they all displayed a talent for it!
