Making Puppets

This term, Year 3 pupils have been reading A Hundred and One Dalmatians by Dodie Smith as part of their literacy topic, and to bring their learning to live, they designed and created their own Dalmatian sock puppet. Pupils thoroughly enjoyed the activity; carefully selecting materials and developing their technical and creative skills to create their masterpieces! Throughout the project children had to build and apply a repertoire of knowledge, understanding and communication skills during the design and creation stages, and afterwards they tested and evaluated their puppet, listing what worked well and could be improved. Well done to all – we think they look fantastic!
