Kingswood 2018

Friday 12th October

Problem solving tasks were first, with children using leadership skills. They really enjoyed this activity as it involved using a wide range of skills.

A few from last nights getting ready shenanigans! Blow dry station, hair up- do station and French plait station! Climbing wall – well done to all children for challenging themselves!

It’s  disco time!

Thursday 11th October (morning)

Team tech: dragon’s den challenge where each team had to build a prototype and pitch their idea to the judging panel.
Jacob’s ladder: climb the ladder with your team mate, helping each other reach the next rung. How high did we get?
Leap of faith: yr 6 take the plunge….

Mr Fryer provided the children with an active morning activity to wake us up. We then had a morning filled with excitement! Jacob’s ladder was amazing and everyone displayed great teamwork and communication skills. Many children got near to the top and even some teachers!

Thursday 11th October

Wednesday 10th October (Afternoon)

Roast was on the menu for dinner. It was required to restore our energy after a tiring day of activities. We have initiative games and scrap heap challenge this evening! More photos to follow!

Wednesday 10th October (Morning) –

Another busy day so far….we have been having lots of fun! 3G swing, laser, zip wire, team tech to name a few.  We have had one wounded soldier along the way,  but he is still smiling and enjoying himself.  We have just had some yummy nuggets for our lunch… now on to our afternoon and evening activities.

Tuesday 9th October – After an early wake up for breakfast at 7am, the children were very excited when they discovered a full English breakfast was on offer. We then had some time to tidy our rooms, shower and prepare for our busy day. Different activities have been taking place depending on the group they are in. Laser tag proved a huge success, with the boys narrowly beating the girls. The trail of mystery was very interesting, we listened to a case and had to use information and our initiative to decide who was innocent or guilty. The 3G swing, only completed by one group was very fun, although some children were initially nervous they showed resilience and determination and completed it. Nearly dinner time…. we are all wondering what it will be….
